While not completely sure Mr. McGinnis is correct, I can definitely say that my own interest waned long ago and I simply haven't read an issue for comparison since. It used to be one of the finest publications ever... I've no clue what it is now. But I'm completely willing to take some free samples from the tray. I haven’t read Paper since ‘03… and, interestingly enough, just finished tearing a bunch of my old issues to shreds for a project I’m working on.

It's sad, actually. Very out of touch. It was meant to be the voice of "Downtown," Manhattan downtown specifically... and as Downtown's value as a place of interest has faded, so has Paper's relevance as tastemakers and identifiers.
